The Alderney film screenings


Three captivating documentaries telling the story of Alderney during World War 2.

We're delighted to be screening three documentaries, made by film maker Charlie Gauvain, about Alderney during World War 2.  Charlie describes the project as a 'living history' documentary.  You can watch him begin to describe the project here and read about it here.

The 3 films cover different parts of the story and they are Evacuation, The War Years and Homecoming.  The dates are below:


Easter Monday 2 April (Evacuation)

Friday 13 April (The War Years), featuring Q&A with Charlie Gauvain

Wednesday 25 April (Homecoming)


The venue is Frossard Theatre at Guernsey Museum, Candie Gardens. Please buy your tickets on arrival.

Doors open at 6.30pm (to look around the Reflections of Occupation exhibition) and the films start at 7.30pm.

Prices are:

Adults - £6.50

Under 18s & students (with valid student card) - £2.00

Discovery Passes do not apply to this event.
