These sessions are aimed at children under 5 and their grown ups. Booking is essential on 726518. Sessions can include quizzes, arts and crafts, stories or music.|
|25 & 26 March (Sat & Sun)||Mummies Weekend!||Guernsey Museum at Candie||10am-4pm every day||What better way to celebrate Mothers' Day than... visit our Egyptian Timewarp and make a mummy! Activities are self-hosted and free: just pop in and help yourself. Normal admission applies, Discovery Pass holders go free.|
|April||Island Explorers Treasure Hunt||Guernsey||All the time||Take part in our special treasure hunt for the Channel Islands Heritage Festival. Adventurers young and young-at-heart are challenged to find the clues hidden across our historic sites. You can download the map on our website from 1st April. Good luck and safe exploring! Return your treasure maps to Guernsey Museum to receive your prize.|
|14-16 April (Easter weekend)||HistoryFest||Castle Cornet||10am-5pm every day||A three-day celebration of heroes, myths and legends! This exciting theme ties in with the Guernsey Heritage Festival for 2017. Featuring bags of Living History, cosy storytelling, live music, historical fun and family activities, trails and tours. There'll be lots to see and do from Good Friday to Easter Sunday. Our popular Easter egg hunt will go ahead on Sunday. *Free with your Discovery Pass!*|

|12 May (Friday)||Museums at Night with the Guernsey Literary Festival||Castle Cornet||6-9pm||Experience the Castle after-hours for free! Children's activities, tours and lots to keep the family entertained. There are some ticketed events organised by the Guernsey Literary Festival - check out their website for details|
|27 & 28 May (Sat & Sun)||The Big Geekend||Guernsey Museum at Candie||11am-4pm||A highlight of our family activity calendar! Plenty to see and do to involve self-confessed geeks of all ages. Normal admission applies: DP holders go free.|
|30 May - 2 June (Tues - Fri)||May half term activities: Fun with Pharaohs||Guernsey Museum at Candie||2-4pm|
We'll explore the Egyptian Timewarp and take part in fun, hands-on activities. Aimed at children aged 5 and over but we hope that there's enough in the Discovery Room to keep younger children happy. There's no extra charge for the activities. Please note that these are family activities and adults are requested to stay and join in the fun!
The Timewarp and Discovery Room will be open throughout half term every day, 10am - 5pm.
|17 June (Saturday)||Queen's Official Birthday||All our sites||Normal opening hours||Enjoy free entry to all our sites for the day, including a 21 gun salute at Castle Cornet (don't forget to cover your ears!). Our sites are Castle Cornet, Guernsey Museum at Candie, Fort Grey and the German Naval Signal HQ.|

Step 'behind the scenes' to meet the Castle Keeper, find out about his interesting job and see him prepare for the noon day gun ceremony. |5 August (Saturday)||Discovery Club: How do Boats Float?||Fort Grey||10.30-12.30||FOR DISCOVERY CLUB MEMBERS ONLY. We'll explore this question with practical activities and challenges. Perfect for budding young sailors. This session will include playing with water so please can your child wear old clothes you don't mind getting wet. The session will include a short 'break time' where children will have a story so they are welcome to bring a small snack to enjoy. Please provide your child with a water bottle.
