Medium: Acrylic on reclaimed canvas

Pauline Maley is an amateur artist who has painted for pleasure most of her life. She generally paints for family and friends as well as depicting the subjects she feels deeply about. One of the subjects Pauline is most passionate about is ecology & conservation. This painting illustrates these environmental concerns, and is inspired by animals on the endangered list.
Pauline's awareness in ecology is informed very much from her being part of the Hare Krishna movement, which requires followers to live ethically and promote the wellbeing of society. This philosophy also influences the materials she paints on, usually choosing to paint on discarded or unwanted canvas.
