How our sites are affected

When will the Museums open?

Guernsey Museum at Candie will open on Thursday 2 July 2020, along with Café Victoria.  The opening hours will be 10.00-16.00, Thursday - Sunday.

Castle Cornet and its museums will open on Saturday 18 July 2020. The opening hours are TBC, Thursday - Sunday.  Due to renovation works taking place there will be no café and no noon day gun.  

Fort Grey and the German Naval Signals HQ will both remain closed for the 2020 season.  

 

What will happen to my Discovery Pass?

If you have purchased your pass since 1.10.2019, it will be extended until 31.12.2021.

Can I still visit historic sites?

Yes, most of our 70+ historic sites are open as usual but please find some changes below:

*   Rousse Tower and Petit Bot Tower remain closed for the time being.  Déhus Dolmen is now open.

*   Saints Tower will be opened on an ad-hoc by volunteers (mainly for tours).

*   The Shell Shrine at Fort Hommet is due to open on Saturday 27 June.

*   Victoria Tower can be visited for free during the opening hours of Guernsey Museum at Candie.  The Museum opens on 2 July and the hours are 10.00-16.00, Thursday to Sunday.
