Here's a handy list of our family-friendly events going on this summer:
Saturday 4 August: Pirates at Rocquaine!
Pirate-themed activities at Fort Grey 13.00-15.00. Entry to the Fort is free all day (10.00-16.30) for the Rocquaine Regatta. Activities are aimed at families with children aged 5 and over. There's no need to book. If the weather is bad, the activities will not take place but the Fort will remain open.
Saturday 11 August: Little Soldiers
This is a summer session of 'Mini Muses'! It's aimed at families with children aged 5 and under. Older siblings are welcome to join in the activities. This will take place at Castle Cornet from 10.30-12.00. It is hosted by a member of the Museum's education team and will include a mini treasure hunt, a making activity and the noon day gun. Booking is essential - on 726518. Normal admission applies but there is no extra cost for the session.
Sunday 19 August: Fete d'Etai
This takes place at Castle Cornet 10.00-16.00. Normal admission applies but free entry is awarded to visitors in full medieval dress. There'll be music, dancing, crafts, a medieval camp and have-a-go archery. For more info and a timetable (close to the time), click here.
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 September: The Big Geekend
A two day celebration of unusual interests and nerdy obsessions. Expect model trains, Lego, 3D printers, radio communication, line dancing and a small herd of cows (really!) For more info and a timetable (close to the time), click here.
