Summer holidays!

Family: dressing up at CC

July, August & early September

Here's a handy list of our family-friendly events going on this summer:

Saturday 4 August: Pirates at Rocquaine!

Pirate-themed activities at Fort Grey 13.00-15.00.  Entry to the Fort is free all day (10.00-16.30) for the Rocquaine Regatta.  Activities are aimed at families with children aged 5 and over.  There's no need to book.  If the weather is bad, the activities will not take place but the Fort will remain open.

Saturday 11 August: Little Soldiers

This is a summer session of 'Mini Muses'!  It's aimed at families with children aged 5 and under.  Older siblings are welcome to join in the activities.  This will take place at Castle Cornet from 10.30-12.00.  It is hosted by a member of the Museum's education team and will include a mini treasure hunt, a making activity and the noon day gun.  Booking is essential - on 726518.  Normal admission applies but there is no extra cost for the session.

Sunday 19 August: Fete d'Etai

This takes place at Castle Cornet 10.00-16.00.  Normal admission applies but free entry is awarded to visitors in full medieval dress.  There'll be music, dancing, crafts, a medieval camp and have-a-go archery.  For more info and a timetable (close to the time), click here.

Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 September: The Big Geekend

A two day celebration of unusual interests and nerdy obsessions.  Expect model trains, Lego, 3D printers, radio communication, line dancing and a small herd of cows (really!)  For more info and a timetable (close to the time), click here.
