2016 Timewarp: Mir Space Station

This Timewarp marked 30 years since the Soviet space station Mir was launched.

The Mir Space Station was the first modular space station. It was the largest artificial satellite until 2001 when it was deorbited. It was succeeded by the International Space Station, which was (in 2016) the home of British astronaut Tim Peake.
