About the Work
As we look at this bronze abstract by the local sculptor, Roy Smith, we can imagine the Mammoth's great mass, weight and strength as it steps forward. The tension of a real moving form is present within this work, symbolising the magnificence and enormous presence of this prehistoric beast.
