Historic Sites

Guernsey has a long and very rich history. Thousands of sites and buildings of historic interest on the island provide a fascinating insight into our past.
Guernsey Museums has over 70 historic sites in its care. These range from Neolithic tombs built over 6000 years ago through to German Fortifications constructed during the Second World War. They also include large and very popular sites such as Castle Cornet to much smaller, but equally exciting, hidden gems. Each site has its own fascinating story to tell.
You can find out more about these sites using the links on the left. The information provided also includes locations, directions and bus routes so you can also find out where the sites are and how to get there.
