Past Exhibition Listing

1978 - Channel Islands, Silver

The attempt to compile a complete listing of temporary exhibitions and displays held at Guernsey Museum & Art Gallery since it opened in 1978 has a exposed a few embarrassing areas of vagueness in our institutional memory.

For the most part these are date details and where possible we will shed light on them and any other shortcomings as soon as they become available.

As part of the museum's 30th anniversary celebrations in 2008 we digitised the posters for as many of our past exhibitions as we could find and these were displayed around the museum throughout that year. They made an interesting show of changing graphic styles in themselves and are attached to breakout pages linked to the list below as unfortunately the current website template does not support any other approach. Where we are able to offer more archival resources and details relating to past exhibitions they will also be linked from the list below.
